This couple has the cutest proposal story you ever did hear! Ellen and Josh were sitting at home together. Josh was working on a spreadsheet, planning his budget for the summer. He asked Ellen to review it and since she loves all things planning and spreadsheets, she was more than eager to help! At the bottom of Josh’s list of things to budget for was “engagement ring.” When Ellen looked up at Josh, he was proposing!
This couple chose Gooseberry Park in Moorhead, Minnesota (right on the border of Fargo, North Dakota!) as their winter engagement photo destination!
This couple is close friends with photographer Alecs of Alecs Kay Photography, and together they planned this beautiful winter engagement photo session way back in the summer months. They didn’t, however, plan on the unseasonably cold weather this winter had in store for us!
On the day these photos were taken, it was 7°F, with a windchill of zero degrees! That’s cold even for Fargoians…but, armed with a thermos of hot chocolate, these two were definitely ready for it!

We’d like to thank this couple and their photographer for braving the cold and capturing such cute, cozy moments. This is a winter engagement session done right!
